Welcome to the 2012 edition of the Best Bank Ads/Videos of the Year. There have been many banking ads aired in 2012, and quite a few of them were funny. So Bank Innovation staffers rolled up their sleeves and waded into the morass to make some tough choices to determine which were the best of the year (so far).

Did we pick the videos that made you smile? Which promo videos/ads should we have included on our list? Please feel free to include your favorites in the comments.

Here are our 11 favorite ads (one for good luck, of course), in no particular order:

Bank AmeriDeals Cash Back:

Wells Fargo My Money App — PFM Alert!

HSBC Family Member. Must love dogs.

Citibank Happy Princess Wonderland gets us in a holiday mood

JPMorgan Chase The Meatball Shop. Mmmm, meatballs.

Wells Fargo Noodle Shop. Small business ads were big this year.

Ally People Sense, continuing a great ad series for Ally

Square Creme Brulee Cart. Wait, a creme brulee cart? We’re moving to San Francisco.

MyCheckApp featuring Bar Refaeli. Enough said.

American Express featuring funnyman Aziz Ansari and an imaginary canoe

Capital One Cash Rewards, Holiday Bribes. Continuing Jimmy Fallon’s winning series of ads with that baby.
