First Data CEO Frank Bisignano introduced the new Clover Station point-of-sale solution at Money2020 in Las Vegas Wednesday. The station, shown in the video below, is the same bright white color as Square‘s point-of-sale system. Coincidence?

First Data bought payments startup Clover last year and quickly initiated development of this POS solution. The system will be made available to Bank of America Merchant Services’s small business clients by the end of 2013, First Data said.

First Data has processed $1.7 trillion in card transactions over the last 12 months, Bisignano said.
