Fintech Inetco last week launched an agentic AI tool to examine potential fraud cases and determine whether a human investigator needs to be involved.

“The urgency with fraud and cyberattacks against payment systems is growing — and it’s growing exponentially,” Inetco founder and Chief Executive Bijan Sanii told FinAi News.

“Inetco lets [fraud detection analysts] do their jobs faster, better, more effectively. They provide much more value and capability to their employer with our platform.”

The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company’s real-time payment fraud prevention platform, BullzAI, aims to combat the rise in AI-driven fraud and money-laundering attacks.

Global fraud losses have increased by 9.2% each year since 2023, reaching $579.4 billion in 2025, according to Nasdaq Verafin’s 2026 Global Financial Crime Report, published March 11.

The BullzAI Investigate module combines agentic AI’s speed and analytical power with the judgment of experienced fraud analysts, according to Inetco. This results in faster investigations, more consistent outcomes and better time management for employees.

BullzAI Investigate is powered by a proprietary, on-premises small language model, ensuring data privacy and regulatory compliance, the company said.

The module’s AI agents collate large transaction datasets, analyze behavioral patterns and triage incoming alerts.

Each alert is assigned a risk score accompanied by auditable reasoning. The highest-risk cases are prioritized for human review.

Inetco said that early results show the module accelerates fraud investigations to about 20 seconds; they had taken 10 to 30 minutes.

The module delivers a recommendation precision of about 95%, but performance continuously improves through a human-in-the-loop supervised machine learning cycle, the company said.

International client base

Inetco’s platform monitors more than 100 billion transactions annually, the company announced in May. This represents about 3% of total global payments, according to research and consulting firm McKinsey & Co.

“That 100 billion figure is … now north of 100 billion and growing quite rapidly,” Sanii said this month.

BullzAI is used by 30 clients in Africa, Asia and Central America, Sanii said.

A South African bank, which asked not to be named, told FinAi News that, since implementing BullzAI, suspicious alerts dropped by roughly 90% from November 2025 to April 2026 compared with that period the prior year.

With BullzAI, the bank’s false positive ratio improved to less than 1%.
