Finzly launches security, assurance layer Assure in AI platform

Finzly has launched Assure, an AI-powered security and assurance layer built into its Agentic Galaxy suite. Assure, which was launched Sept. 3, will help the fintech’s clients move away from relying on standalone AI tools and toward tool integration into one platform. Agentic Galaxy , launched in October 2025, is a network of deployable AI agents built into Finzly’s BankOS operating system for banks and credit unions. [caption id="attachment_57388902" align="alignright" width="300"] (Courtesy/Finzly)[/caption] "Assure improves four specific elements over the prior [security] model," Supro Ghose , chief information security officer at Finzly , told FinAi News . They are: Detection and response; Monitoring cadence; Testing scope; and Compliance evidence. "AI now accelerates investigation and triage rather than relying solely on analyst-driven review," Ghose said. "Continuous monitoring of attack-surface risk replaces point-in-time reviews. "Security testing now explicitly covers AI-assisted development in addition to traditional development," he said. "And evidence is collected automatically/continuously instead of assembled manually for point-in-time audits." FIs using BankOS will get Assure as part of the operating system so they won’t have to rely on AI point solutions for security. An AI point solution is a standalone tool designed to perform a single task, which must then be implemented alongside other tools. Before Assure, BankOS security ran as multiple, separate tools, Ghose said. Now each security action runs in a single program. Growing AI threats, defenses Finzly and others in the financial sector are steadily turning to AI security solutions as attackers increasingly use AI as well. "We're seeing AI increase the speed, scale and sophistication of cyberthreats," Ann Barron-DiCamillo , CISO at U.S. Bank , told FinAi News . "AI is reducing the barrier, making it easier to create very convincing cyber or phishing schemes or other kinds of reconnaissance activities. "Keeping pace with that is extremely important — not only keeping pace but advancing beyond that," she said. From July 2025 through June, AI-enabled attacks on FIs rose 89% year over year, according to cybersecurity platform TrendAI 's Modern Bank Heists 2026 report, published July 22. "Banking is entering a new era where attacks happen at machine speed," Finzly founder and Chief Executive Booshan Rengachari said in a Sept. 3 release. "BankOS was created to help financial institutions continuously evolve and never has that been more needed than with AI." Automation plans While Finzly continues to refine Assure, humans will remain in the loop — for now. The fintech plans to automate Assure fully "as the technology matures," according to the release. "Human-in-the-loop oversight ends action-class by action-class, not all at once," Ghose said. "A given automated action graduates out of mandatory human review only when it meets the trust criteria." Ghose said those criteria are: Blast-radius bounding, whereby Assure is limited to autonomous actions in which the impact of an incorrect decision is small; A demonstrated low false-positive rate; Reversibility, with automation preference being given to actions that can be easily and quickly reversed; Auditability, whereby every automated decision must produce a complete, retrievable audit trail, enabling human review; and Staged rollback, with autonomy revoked for an action class if an audit reveals drift, false positives or unintended impact.
