Welcome to a new weekly feature from Bank Innovation: Top 20 Finance Apps.

For this feature, we’ll gather the Top 20 apps from both the iOS App Store and Google Play each week. (Sorry, Windows phone users.) There was a lot of overlap this week between the stores — no surprise there. Among those doing double duty are Chase Mobile (#1 in the iOS store), Capital One Mobile, PayPal, and Credit Karma (#1 in Google Play).

However, a few dark horses snuck in on the Google Play ranking. Currency Converter, a simple tool to track currency valuation changes and perform currency change calculations, came in strong at number three; we think that a lot of people departed on vacation this month. Next, there’s MileIQ – Mileage Tracker & Log at number twelve. MileIQ allows its user to log miles driven for business, charity, or medical reasons in order to report them on tax returns for a small, but significant, deduction per mile. And lastly, there’s the Money Network Mobile App, coming in at number seventeen. Money Network seems to only be available to Money Network cardholders, so it has cracked the top 20 this week, which is intriguing and points to a growing number of new Money Network users.
