Global financial messaging provider Swift has appointed technology executive Michael Manos as its chief information officer.

Manos will oversee Swift’s technology infrastructure and lead efforts to strengthen the resilience, security and modernization of the cooperative’s global financial network, according to today’s Swift release. Most recently, he was chief technology officer at Dun & Bradstreet, where he led technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles at several major technology and financial services organizations.

As CIO, Manos will be responsible for advancing Swift’s technology agenda as the organization continues to expand services supporting cross-border payments, securities transactions and emerging digital asset initiatives. The appointment comes as Swift invests in cloud technologies, cybersecurity and AI to support financial institutions worldwide.

Swift Chief Executive Officer Javier Perez-Tasso said Manos brings extensive experience in operating large-scale technology environments and driving innovation.

Headquartered in Belgium, Swift connects more than 11,000 financial institutions and organizations across more than 200 countries and territories through its secure messaging network.
