PayPal is teaming up with Rokt to tap into a new frontier of digital commerce: the post-transaction moment.
On Wednesday, e-commerce payments provider Rokt announced that PayPal will deploy its machine learning and AI-powered “offers” engine to serve tailored advertisements right after a payment is completed — on “Thank You” pages of PayPal and Venmo peer-to-peer transactions and on merchant confirmation pages facilitated through Honey, according to a Rokt release today.

Rokt’s technology, known as the AI Brain, evaluates behavioral, contextual and transactional signals in real time to present the “next-best action” for each customer, the release stated.
The partnership allows brands to engage consumers when they are still in a purchasing mindset. “Advertisers are looking for the next signal, and it’s clear that the strongest signals are now real transactions tied to identity,” said Mark Grether, senior vice president of PayPal Ads.
Bruce Buchanan, Rokt’s co-founder and chief executive, added that he is “proud to support” PayPal’s ambition to derive more value from every touchpoint in the transaction journey.
The program is live in the United States, with international expansion planned.
In 2024, Rokt reached more than $600 million in revenue — up more than 40 % year over year — and the firm expects to power more than 7.5 billion transactions this year.
