Some cashback rewards are mailed to cardholders in the form of a paper check. Others can be transferred to the user’s bank account.

JPMorgan Chase introduced a series of videos last week showing how Chase Freedom cardholders can turn rewards into e-gift cards using their mobile app.

This is an interesting move — instead of socking the cash away or paying down debt, users can easily spend their rewards with a partner merchant. Merchant-branded gift cards are created on the fly within the app. Best Buy, Gap, and GameStop are shown in the video below.
