Palisades Credit Union deploys Narmi's AI DecisionAssist

Palisades Credit Union is using digital banking platform Narmi 's latest agentic account opening tool, AI DecisionAssist. AI DecisionAssist is an agentic solution that helps financial institutions automate and accelerate account opening, according to a July Narmi release. Narmi first announced AI DecisionAssist at FinovateSpring 2026 in May and it became generally available in the third quarter, Fiaz Sindhu , senior vice president of strategy and operations at Narmi , told FinAi News at Narmi's Innovators Retreat in Detroit last week. Since launching earlier this quarter, e arly adoption has kicked off with a dozen financial institutions tapping the tech and more FIs exploring its capabilities. During account opening, financial institutions spend a lot of time on manual reviews, tracking down additional documentation and verifying data, Sindhu said. "What we're doing is streamlining that process using AI," he said. Using AI, the tool reviews applications for identity, risk and compliance and generates recommendations to help FI employees make faster decisions, according to the release. "I was comfortable with AI DecisionAssist because of that human in the loop," Palisades Credit Union Chief Operating Officer Ashley Cruz said at the event. Prior to going live with AI DecisionAssist, the $200 million Palisades Credit Union facilitated user acceptance testing to ensure internal comfortability and trust with the tool, Cruz said.
