The move supports Washington, D.C.-based Police FCU’s modernization strategy and is designed to be compatible with core provider Corelation’s KeyStone system, a spokesperson for the $175 million credit union told Bank Automation News. The new platform is expected to go live in April 2026, the spokesperson said. The value of the agreement was not disclosed.

Key enhancements for Police FCU members will include:

  • Credential Assurance Technology for protection against credential stuffing;
  • A customizable interface;
  • Core-integrated features such as real-time ACH payments and Zelle; and
  • Access to a charitable giving platform.

The Thoughtful Banking “platform’s real-time access to core data and seamless connectivity will enable our staff to work more effectively, and provide our members with a faster, more consistent experience across all digital channels,” the Police FCU spokesperson said. “This close integration will also give us the ability to introduce new features more quickly so that we can stay responsive to our members’ needs.”

Mahalo noted that feedback from Police FCU and other credit unions continues to drive its development roadmap, a spokesperson for the digital banking solutions provider told BAN.

Mahalo’s other FI clients include $190 million Xcel Federal Credit Union and $93 million Memorial Credit Union, which went live with the platform on April 29.

Citizens State Bank taps Apiture for modernization

Citizens State Bank has selected Apiture to modernize its digital and mobile banking platforms, according to an April 25 announcement from the companies.

Through the integration, Ouray, Colo.-based Citizens aims to improve functionality and deliver a more unified customer experience, according to the release. The bank did not disclose the value of the transaction or expected integration timeline.

The $204 million bank will also implement the digital banking solutions provider’s consumer and business banking solutions, which will provide:

  • Real-time access to account data;
  • Streamlined online and mobile banking interfaces;
  • Improved functionality for both personal and business users; and
  • Enhanced money movement and account management.

“This development will allow us to invest in our business relationships while providing a more integrated and holistic approach to managing financial well-being,” Alexander Price, president and chief executive at Citizens, said in a release.

NuMark selects Alkami’s digital platform

NuMark Credit Union has partnered with Alkami to modernize its digital banking platform across retail and business channels, Alkami announced on April 24. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Joliet, Ill.-based NuMark tapped Alkami to provide a more personalized digital experience to its members, Michelle Balog, president and CEO at the $850 million credit union, said in a release.

“As digital banking continues to evolve, we recognize the need to deliver a more seamless, personalized experience,” Balog said.

For example, the platform comes with the Alkami Theme Builder, which enables FIs to easily adjust design elements such as colors and layouts without needing technical support, while still meeting accessibility standards, Mike Paiko, vice president of product marketing at Alkami, told BAN.

For deeper customization, NuMark can use Alkami’s software development kit and banking APIs to build unique features, integrate external services and deploy its own enhancements within the platform, he said.

Alkami’s digital banking platform also includes:

  • Integration with more than 270 third-party vendors to support future services;
  • KPIs for measuring platform success by metrics such as digital adoption, fraud reduction and user satisfaction; and
  • Multi-layered security with biometric login, multi-factor authentication, bot protection and risk-based verification.

Alkami operates on the Amazon Web Service cloud, which offers additional security protocols, Paiko said.

NuMark plans to use the Alkami platform to elevate digital experiences while reducing operational risk and positioning for additional innovation, Balog said.

Kirtland FCU selects Lumin Digital platform

Kirtland Federal Credit Union has partnered with Lumin Digital to modernize its digital banking services.

The collaboration aims to enhance the Albuquerque, N.M.-based Kirtland FCU’s member experience through a cloud-native platform offering personalized and secure online and mobile banking, Kirtland FCU said in a release.. The credit union did not disclose monetary details of the partnership.

Key features of the platform include:

  • Personalized financial insights and spending analysis;
  • Enhanced security and fraud protection;
  • Real-time updates; and
  • Support for desktop and mobile banking experiences.

Kirtland FCU plans to continue to modernize its tech stack using Lumin Digital’s platform to adapt to evolving demand for digital capabilities, George Walker, chief information officer at the $1.1 billion credit union, said in a release.

Other FIs using Lumin Digital’s platform include:

  • Access to Pinwheel’s data network of payroll providers.

“Our integration with Q2 furthers our mission to help financial institutions drive deposit growth and improve credit access,” Kurtis Lin, co-founder and CEO at Pinwheel, said in a release.

The integration is part of the Q2 Innovation Studio, a partner network launched in June 2021 and includes more than 400 Fis and 185 fintech partners, a Q2 spokesperson told BAN.

FIs using Q2 Innovation Studio include:

  • $110.4 billion Signature Bank;
