Kerrison promoted to Bank of America tech leadership team

Bank of America Chief Technology Officer Tony Kerrison has been promoted to the leadership team under Cathy Bessant, the $2.2 trillion bank’s top technology executive at Bank of America. Previously, Kerrison reported to David Reilly, the chief information officer of the bank and global markets, who is also a direct report to Bessant.
Kerrison’s role expands to include leading the core technology Infrastructure, including technology infrastructure services and production services.
“Tony is a world-class professional in a space where talent really matters,” Bessant told Bank Automation News. “Tony’s elevation to my leadership table is recognition of how integral infrastructure is to the client experience.”
Bot vendor Automation Anywhere makes new hires in preparation for IPO
Robotic process automation vendor Automation Anywhere is preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) with the appointment of James Budge as its chief financial officer. Budge has prepared three companies for IPOs and led multiple secondary public offerings, Automation Anywhere noted in its announcement, adding “this experience is key, as a top priority will be to ensure the company has the proper business processes and infrastructure as it aspires to become a public company.”
Automation Anywhere also named Mike Micucci as its new chief operating officer. Micucci most recently served as chief executive officer of Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Community Cloud.
Reid named CIO for corporate tech at JPMorgan
James Reid is the newly appointed chief information officer of JPMorgan’s newly created Employee Experience and Corporate Technology Unit. The $2.9 trillion bank also clarified that Melissa Goldman, who was named chief data officer in November, will retain part of her CIO for corporate technology duties, JPMorgan told Bank Automation News.
Varner appointed head of advice enablement at Wells Fargo
Wells Fargo appointed Evelyn Varner as head of advice enablement for wealth and investment management (WIM). The new role is part of WIM’s advice and planning center of excellence, which delivers advice and planning capabilities. Varner will report to Michael Liersch, WIM head of advice and planning.
Varner will work across all WIM’s client-facing businesses, including Wells Fargo Advisors and Wells Fargo Private Bank, and help develop the vision for how advisers can best use data and tools to deliver real-time advice to clients.
Majiyagbe new head of financing and liquidity for BNY Mellon
Laide Majiyagbe is Bank of New York Mellon’s new head of financing and liquidity, assuming oversight of the $1.9 trillion bank’s securities finance, liquidity services and collateral segregation businesses.
Majiyagbe joins BNY Mellon after 14 years at Goldman Sachs, where she was most recently global head of liquidity projections in the corporate treasury division. While at Goldman Sachs, she played a pivotal role in the design of several of its post-crisis collateral management and optimization tools used in managing firm and client collateral, according to the BNY Mellon press release.
Black and Rawls step up at Simmons Bank
Simmons Bank created a community bank division and a metro bank division last month and promoted two Simmons leaders as part of the reorganization.
Freddie Black, Simmons’ chief business development officer, was named chief community banking officer and will oversee Simmons Bank’s community market growth.
Chad Rawls will now serve as the chief metro banking officer and will focus on growth in the metro markets. Previously, Rawls served as the president of corporate banking, where he oversaw commercial underwriting, loan administration and loan operations for Simmons.
Jack Henry chairman, former CEO retires
John F. “Jack” Prim will retire as chairman of the Jack Henry Board of Directors on June 30. Prim had been the board chairman of the core and payment processing services company since 2012, and had served on the board since 2007. He was Jack Henry’s chief executive officer for nearly 12 years. During his 26-year tenure with Jack Henry, he also served as chief operating officer and president.
