JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A. is seeking to boost its bench strength within the asset and wealth management division, according to a recent job posting on the company’s website. The $3.4 trillion bank is looking to hire a “Low Code Workflow and Decision Automation VP” as part the Asset Wealth Management (AWM) Operations Change Mobilization Team.

The team partners with operations, technology and business leadership to “model and optimize business processes and logic using a variety of tools, including those in the low code automation space,” JPMorgan Head of AWM Change Mobilization Dana Niblack told BAN in an email.

The AWM division has $2.7 trillion of assets under management, up 17% year over year, according to the bank’s fourth-quarter earnings.

The incoming VP will be responsible for driving the optimization and automation of current and future state process and decision models in tandem with the technology team, according to the posting. They will also drive support, growth of process and decision low code automation capabilities, including driving product strategy, methodology, developing and implementing governance and quality-control standards.

The Business Process and Decision Management Center of Excellence is tasked with building process and decision management capabilities across asset wealth management using a low code approach to drive automation initiatives. The center is part of the Change Mobilization team, along with intelligent automation, business intelligence and various product teams, according to the post.

Financial institutions typically use low code and no code tools to analyze and extract data, especially around underwriting and decisioning, according to Accern Chief Technology Officer Anshul Pandey. Accern develops no-code tools backed by AI specifically for the financial sector. The use of low code tools among banks has grown organically over the past few years, Pandey said, as institutions expand data science and data analytics teams.
