Technology companies and financial institutions are open to hiring some of the 600 AI unit employees laid off by Meta last month.

Pulse co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Ritvik Pandey took to LinkedIn to say, “For those impacted by the Meta layoffs, Pulse is hiring across research, engineering and infrastructure roles.”

Pulse, an AI startup headquartered in San Francisco, builds document intelligence systems for Fortune 50s, global banks and other large institutions, according to Pandey.

“Our research focuses on one of the hardest problems in AI today: Reasoning over unstructured, multimodal enterprise data at scale,” he said.

Pulse Chief Executive Sid Manchkanti shared the following open roles with FinAi News:

  • Design engineer;
  • DevOps engineer;
  • Forward deployed engineer;
  • Machine learning engineer;
  • Machine learning engineer intern (2026); and
  • Software engineer.

Also posted on LinkedIn, Alex Jaimes, managing director and global head of AI agents and search at JPMorgan Chase, said: “I’d say to those impacted to also consider ‘traditional’ industries,” adding that JPMorgan Chase is hiring across science, product and engineering.

Amazon also announced last week that it plans to reduce its overall corporate workforce by about 14,000 jobs, according to the company.
