US Bank continues to make waves in the commercial space. In October it announced a mobile e-commerce platform partnership with Monitise, and the video below appears to give a glimpse of the fulfillment of that idea. Users take pictures of items in a print publication, such as a newspaper, and the mobile platform calls up that item and offers a mechanism to buy it. The software also allows audio to be recorded and them finds the song or album for sale. These features are similar to Shazam and Amazon, but they all take place within the US Bank app.
