PayPal yesterday unveiled its new PayPal Here promo, and its message is clear: PayPal Here is trying to kill Square.

Beyond offering slightly cheaper pricing that Square (2.70% v. 2.75%), PayPal Here is heavily promoting its register, checkout technology, and smartphone swiping technology — all part of Square’s core value proposition.
