MasterCard is short a Senior Business Leader for emerging payments, and is actively looking to fill the position.

The job appears to have opened within the last several weeks.

According to the payments company, the position “is critical to advance MasterCard’s innovation agenda and competitive positioning in the Emerging Payments space through product differentiation and innovation.” The Senior Business Leader is charged with the following primary task:

Lead the vision, prioritization and implementation of an integration roadmap for Emerging Payment Services with MasterPass, in order to deliver a compelling, simple and integrated experience for consumers. This includes integrating products and services such as Mobile Proximity and Remote Payments, Personal Payments, Mobile POS, etc.

It is interesting to note that in promoting the open position, MasterCard highlights its “agenda for ‘connected digital services.'” Earlier this month, MasterCard officials said the company had rededicated itself to innovation, adding that a clearly defined portion of its future revenue growth will come from new products and services.

MasterCard is looking to fill at least seven different “Senior Business Leader” positions at present.
