Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase is adding Coinbase Commerce, a tool that will allow merchants to accept payments in virtual currencies like bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and ether, the company announced yesterday in a blog post.

Coinbase Commerce can be plugged directly into a merchant’s checkout flow, or easily added as a payment option, the exchange stated. The product is not a hosted service, Coinbase said, “so merchants have full control of their own digital currency.”

Coinbase has already integrated the product with commerce company Shopify, and is “actively adding more integrations to make accepting cryptocurrency as easy as possible,” it stated.
