Barclays customers across Europe will not be able to use their mobile banking app this weekend. The major U.K. bank said it will be switching off access to 24 million customers as the bank restructures itself as required by national regulation.

These changes were established by the Bank of England in 2011, and is referred to as ringfencing rules, in which banks are required to separate riskier investment departments from their retail and SMB banking units.

For work on that, Barclays is cutting off its mobile app services from 11.30pm on Saturday until 3.30pm on Sunday.

While customers won’t be able to check balances or make online payments, they can use their debit and credit cards to shop online as well as stores.
