INV Fintech, the sister accelerator to this site, is pleased to announce its inaugural episode of INV Unfiltered — a new monthly podcast series, which will cover current trends and intriguing topics in financial technology and beyond.

The accelerator, in its continued effort to help fintech startups strive for greatness, will focus the series on providing the fintech-obsessed with an information resource that will accompany them on their journey into the future.

For the first episode of INV Unfiltered, JJ Hornblass — principal of INV Fintech — hosts Leo Cherman, head of Brazil-based Banco Sofisa.

Launched in 2011, Banco Sofisa is a pioneer of online banking in Brazil. There was no talk of pure online play in the market at the time, Cherman said. “We tried to bring this idea of simplicity in financial services,” he said. “Avoiding complexity is a major component of not creating an inefficient machine.”

During the 30-minute podcast, Cherman touches on the challenges of reducing friction in traditional banking, as well as his vision of the ideal bank of the future.
