Cai-Lee, who founded the $500 million digital bank, said at the FinAi Banking Summit in March that financial institution leaders need to use AI and fully understand the technology and how it works.
She has more than 20 years of experience in financial services and has held leadership roles at East West Bank and Deloitte. She also spent time at JPMorgan Chase and Citi.
Lending at Piermont
At Piermont, AI is not an add-on, but rather a foundational layer, Wenni Wu, chief growth officer, previously told FinAi News. It’s part of how the bank operates, makes decisions and scales, she said.
“Our approach to AI is not about moving the fastest – it is about deploying it responsibly to enhance human judgement and drive more consistent, higher-quality decision making,” Wu said.
Lending at Piermont Bank includes:
- Business lending;
- Commercial real estate;
- Venture capital and private equity; and
- Sponsor finance.
