Palantir, Moder bring AI automation to mortgage industry

The collaboration combines Palantir’s data and artificial intelligence infrastructure with Moder’s deep operational expertise in mortgage servicing and outsourcing, according to today's release. The companies are building a system to automate complex workflows, standardize processes and improve decision-making across the mortgage lifecycle.

At the core of the platform is Palantir’s Ontology framework, which integrates data from disparate systems and translates investor guidelines and policies into configurable, auditable rules, according to the release. These rules power agentic AI, enabling software agents to execute tasks that traditionally require manual intervention, the release stated.

Freedom Mortgage , one of the largest nonbank lenders and servicers in the United States, is the pilot customer, according to the release. Early deployment has already gone live across several key processes, with the companies reporting improvements in speed and accuracy for servicing teams.

By reducing manual touches and error rates while maintaining compliance, the new platform aims to help institutions operate more efficiently in a challenging market environment.

Executives from both firms say the partnership could have broader implications for affordability and access to housing. By lowering operational costs and improving efficiency, the technology has the potential to reduce borrowing costs and expand access to homeownership.
