Tracey Weber, Citigroup’s managing director of internet and online banking, will be leaving the bank in late June.

Under her stewardship, Citibank integrated PFM into its online banking, developed a tablet app, and refocused  online and mobile banking around a user-centered experience. She is the recipient of numerous awards for her groundbreaking work. Weber joined Citibank in 2010, having previously worked for Barnes & Noble and Travelocity.

She will be replaced by Melissa Stevens, a 15-year veteran at Citibank who has worked in digital banking since 2006. Her most recent position was director of the bank’s global internet and mobile banking program.

Citigroup is the third largest bank in the United States, with approximately $1.9 trillion is assets, and has a strong and growing international presence, particularly in Asia.

A Citibank representative sent Bank Innovation the following details on Weber’s departure:

Tracey Weber will depart Citi in late June to pursue other interests. Tracey and her team developed and launched the acclaimed Citibank for iPad app, the new Citibank Online in the U.S and around the world, and new mobile capabilities, including PopMoney and Mobile Check Deposit. Melissa Stevens will replace Tracey as head of the North America Internet & Mobile & Global Product team. Melissa has worked for Citi for 15 years, holding roles across Global Consumer businesses and in Citigroup’s Corporate Center. In her most recent role, she was the Global Digital Banking Program Director and Head of Global Internet Product Management with a global team located in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Mexico.

This is a major change within Citi’s innovation team. To wit, Bank Innovation recently named Weber one of the industry’s 44 Innovators to Watch in 2013.
