Tech provider Temenos on Oct. 7 announced Barb Morgan as its chief product and technology officer.

In the role, Morgan will prioritize innovation, including products focused on client needs that tap into “AI, cloud and advanced data and analytics,” she said in the Temenos release.
Additionally, Morgan will add to Temenos’ ongoing cloud and SaaS efforts, Jean-Pierre Brulard, chief executive at Temenos, said in the release.
Morgan joins Temenos from the London Stock Exchange Group, where she was group head of data and analytics, according to the release. She also served in leadership roles at Fidelity National Information Services, Capital One, Boeing and Lucent Technologies.
Napier AI names Zafrin CTO
Napier AI, a financial crime compliance solutions company, hired Warren Zafrin as its chief technology officer, it announced Oct. 1.

Zafrin’s short-term focus includes enhancing code quality and predictability, and integrating AI-driven tools, generative AI capabilities and automated testing, he told Bank Automation News.
“Long term, I aim to foster innovation by disrupting the AI marketplace by positioning Napier’s data science and platform teams as industry disruptors,” Zafrin said. “We are also building out a center of excellence in Belfast, adding to our existing one in Kuala Lumpur, to tap into the region’s strong talent pool and foster growth. We plan to grow the Belfast team to 100 strong by 2026.”
Zafrin brings more than a decade of experience to the position. His most recent role was CTO at SymphonyAI, according to an Oct. 1 Napier AI release.
Fifth Third names Khanna head of corporate, investment banking
Kevin Khanna was named head of corporate and investment banking at Fifth Third Bank last month.

“This is a new title for me and it’s the first time the bank is using this title as well,” Khanna told BAN.
He will lead the bank’s newly structured corporate and investment banking business which includes corporate finance, advisory and financial sponsorship, he said.
The newest Fifth Third division was announced on Oct. 3.
Khanna has been with the bank for nearly a decade, he told BAN.
Finastra taps Bateman as EVP of lending
Andrew Bateman was named executive vice president of lending at U.K-based fintech Finastra on Sept. 25.

Bateman is “focused on continuing to support customers in their technology modernization journeys and, in particular, enable them to thrive in an open finance environment,” he told BAN. “This approach, paired with our gen-AI, cloud and API technology strategy, ensures that we are bringing compelling offerings to the market.”
Bateman will be responsible for the growth strategy for the lending business with an emphasis on open communication and collaboration, he said.
“I see these principles as essential not only for driving innovation but also for fostering a positive workplace culture,” Bateman told BAN.
Denise Leonhard joins Early Warning as Zelle GM
Risk management financial company Early Warning on Sept. 25 named Denise Leonhard as its Zelle general manager to help consumers and small businesses use more tech-based financial solutions.

“To help our participating financial institutions keep their customers safe, we leverage data-driven technology for real-time identification of potential bad actors, allowing financial institutions to stop potentially high-risk transactions,” Leonhard told BAN
She plans to establish a more secure, trusted payments platform in the short term, she said.
Leonhard previously held leadership positions at Venmo, PayPal and American Express, according to a company release.
“As more of our daily lives are conducted digitally, easy and accessible digital payments will become increasingly critical for everyday Americans and small businesses,” she said.
