Fintech funding: Ramp bags $750M in series F round

Investors have continued to pour millions into startup and later-stage fintechs in recent weeks as AI adoption picks up across financial services. Global funding for AI-focused fintechs totaled $226.2 billion in the first quarter, up from $41.4 billion in Q1 2025, according to CB Insights . Ramp ramps up Spend management platform Ramp secured $750 million in a series F round led by Iconiq , GIC and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan , according to a June 4 Ramp release. Ramp’s valuation has increased to $44 billion from $32 billion over the past seven months, signaling “where investor conviction is heading,” Rudy Yang , senior fintech research analyst for financial data and software company PitchBook , told FinAi News . “The company is building infrastructure to enable enterprises to measure and control their demand for intelligence at a critical time, as a new agent-powered economy rises,” Yang said. “When token spend shows up in the budget lines for every enterprise, the ability to track and optimize it only gets more valuable." The AI adoption rate at Ramp is 99.5%, including an agentic AI-powered software development tool that writes two-thirds of the fintech’s code, according to the release. Saris lands $28.8 million Saris , a multi-purpose agentic AI provider for banks and credit unions, raised $28.8 million in a series A round led by 8VC , according to a May 28 Saris release. Saris aims to provide "a unified way to run agentic workflows across lending, compliance and operations” while focusing on seamless integration into legacy core systems, founder and Chief Executive Danial Jameel told FinAi News . “One of our core convictions from Day 1 was that we would never ask a credit union or bank to rip out the systems they already depend on,” he said. “ Symitar , Fiserv , MeridianLink — these are the systems teams know and we built Saris to work inside them through bi-directional integrations.” Saris plans to differentiate itself in a growingly crowded agentic AI market by focusing on auditability and “customer obsession,” Jameel said. “We have spent years onsite with our customers mapping workflows, understanding how loan processors actually think about their work and iterating on the basis of real outcomes rather than assumptions,” he said. Early adopters of Saris’ platform include Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union and Community Bank , which have seen efficiency gains in check processing and lending, respectively, Jameel said. Reset secures $6M Embedded earned wage access platform Reset raised $6 million in seed funding with several clients leading the investment round, including Georgia's Own Credit Union , InTouch Credit Union and Chartway Credit Union , according to a June 8 release. Reset plans to use the funding to increase implementation capacity, accelerate deployments, strengthen product development and “invest more in AI,” co-founder and CEO Matt Dicou told FinAi News . Reset primarily uses AI for software development, allowing it to focus more on product distribution, Dicou said. “As AI drives the cost of building software to zero, everything becomes about distribution,” he said. The fintech plans to increase AI use in sales operations , explore AI-driven lending solutions and train AI agents to break down return-on-investment for its clients, Dicou said. “We can do earned wage access, which is the space that we're in, but then we can layer on other payments innovation as that comes in the future because we've laid that embedded payments foundation,” he said. InstaSwitch raises $4.7M InstaSwitch , which provides account activation infrastructure for business banking, announced on May 5 it raised $4.7 million in seed funding. Founded in August 2024 by Daniel West , InstaSwitch automates account switching for business clients, West told FinAi News . Some 5.4 million small businesses in the United States attempt to switch bank providers annually and most never complete the move because of the time and friction involved in moving an account, West said. The process includes the movement of payroll, income, vendor payments, direct deposits and more, according to the May 5 release. InstaSwitch has automated the process with agentic AI, West said. The round was led by Chicago Ventures , with participation from 8-Bit Capital along with Better Tomorrow Ventures , Panache Ventures and executives from Unit , Square , PayPal and Plaid , according to the release.
