Collections platform Akuvo signed 12 credit unions to its platform in the second quarter, including Arise Financial.
The $3.5 billion Arise Financial, formerly Rockland Federal Credit Union, selected Akuvo for its AI knowledge in the collections space, Mark Federico, chief information officer at Arise, told FinAi News, noting the credit union approaches technology projects both through vendor partnerships and internal innovation.
Sometimes, a vendor makes more sense, Federico said of the deal. Akuvo “had more of the knowledge of this area than we did.”
Arise was ready to add to its technology stack following the completion of its August 2025 core conversion to Corelation KeyStone, Erica Potter, senior vice president deposit and payment operations at Arise, told FinAi News.
Arise was among 16 credit unions and fintechs that selected Akuvo in Q2. The credit unions include:
- $5.6 billion Newport News, Va.-based Langley Federal Credit Union;
- $5.1 billion Knoxville, Tenn.-based Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union;
- $2.8 billion Honolulu -based Hawaii State Federal Credit Union;
- $1.5 billion Rockledge, Fla.-based Community Credit Union of Florida; and
- $1.4 billion Hoover, Ala.-based Avadian Credit Union.
The tech
Akuvo offers several collections technologies and has launched new solutions since the start of the year.
In February, Akuvo announced its Collector Assistant, an AI-powered tool that surfaces account history, embeds existing policies and procedures into the technology and offers real-time account insights to collections teams, Steve Castagna, chief growth officer at Akuvo, told FinAi News.
Also, in June Akuvo launched Akuvo iQ, a portfolio intelligence application, giving financial institutions a look at portfolio risk, according to the company.
Akuvo’s wins
At 16, the number of Q2 deals were right on track, Castagna said, noting that Q2 is usually the fintech’s second largest quarter, following the fourth quarter. In Q4 2025, Akuvo signed 22 clients.
In 2025, Akuvo did 55 client implementations, and 2026 is on pace for 60 to 70, Castagna said.
Akuvo was founded in 2019 and has raised $13 million in funding, according to Crunchbase.
