Letsl place a big videowall or touchwall surrounded by a few Surface units.
This videowall is based on Microsoft Kinect, an interactive camera system for Xbox 360 that can be used based on gestures instead of a controller. It can interact with users in front of the screen, has both voice and face recognition, so it can offer a great experience for anyone using the system.

We create a virtual hostess named Eileen. The name Eileen is probably derived from Ava, which is of Germanic origin but whose meaning is uncertain, though it possibly means “desired”. Eileen also means “light. It is reported that the name Eileen has been one of the 1,000 most popular girl’s names in the United States in every decade since 1880 [source: Wikipedia]. Eileen will start a dialogue with someone in front of the screen. Eileen encourages someone to start interacting. Eileen explains. Eileen introduces you to new information and products. Eileen gives you a personal card. Eileen is the personification of the connection between the real world and the virtual one.

This is how it works. A user will stand in front of the screen starting a dialogue with Eileen. By using gestures we create a approachable application for a broad audience with less to no experience with interactive systems. Because we’re using Kinect’s face recognition technology we should be able to even recognise people in case of return visits.

The user can play videos with information about products and services of the bank. The user can ask Eileen to gather information or can do this himself by swiping content (in air or in case of a touchwall by touch drag and drop) to his personal box represented in a graphical form of a credit card on screen.

The card itself represents a new and empty profile. Together with Eileen the user will add content to this profile.
