BI Member Up for Best Blog Award (and It’s an Intriguing Marketing Play, Too)
Congratulations go out to Bank Innovation member Dr. Hansjörg Leichsenring upon the nomination of his blog, Der-Bank-Blog, for “Finance Blog of the Year.”
Interestingly, the “Finance Blog of the Year” competition itself represents an unique marketing play by its sponsor, Smava, an online provider of personal loans in Germany. The competition, which is located on Smava’s site, puts the lender in the headlines of bloggers like our friend Hans, and gets voters for the award coming to its site. My sense is that the net cost to Smava is approximately, uh, $0.
In sum, vote for Hans’s blog for “Finance Blog of the Year” and when you do, make note of Smava’s marketing score.
