FinovateEurope 2012 debuted a number of new financial services’s products and updates during its demos held today in London. Bank Innovation trolled the Finovate blog and Twitter hashtag to glean the freshest announcements. Here are seven new services that we discovered from our reading that struck us as interesting:

Company: Figlo

Product: Widget-Based Platform

Launch: Q2 2012

What: A new consumer portal that wants to help consumers better manage their finances on any device. From Figlo’s release:

It enables financial organizations to create customized offerings for Personal Finance Management, Financial Product Advice and Financial Planning based on widgets. The platform builder is not yet commercially available, but it will be available later this year.

Finovate Tweets:

  • Am I right: #Figlo will allow me to create my own bank look and feel, with social integration – if yes, brill[iant]!

@chris_skinner

  • @Finovate Great new #Figlo Platform Builder to build your own portal with the Figlo PFM & financial advise widgets

 @RobertHMWS

  • Now the talk is on #Figlo reusing the same data for personal financial advisor on a tablet device. Smart. #finovate

Company: Sandstone

Product: Mobile Banking App

Launch: February 2012

What: Sandstone hopes to help smaller institutions obtain presences in the app stores. From its release:

Using the latest html5 technology, Sandstone’s app can be developed once and then delivered seamlessly across all smart phone app stores to run on any smart phone mobile device. The registration process for the app locks the user to the device while page-fingerprinting technology ensures that fraudulent users will not be able to connect to the secure server.

Company: Luup

Product: Luup Wallet Service

Launch: March 2012

What: A new service from Luup hopes to ease the challenges of tackling corporate and government travel authorization and budgets by allowing users to manage their travel budgets, for example, in Luup’s wallet. From its release:

Travel requests are a vital, daily and costly challenge for organisations. With Luup’s latest service, travel budgets are managed in Luup’s mobile wallet system which enables travel requests, authorisations and payments within minutes – from anywhere, on any mobile network or device. Gone are the days when employees have to chase managers for budget and trip approvals, while flight and other costs rise exponentially by the hour. The new service optimises processes, bringing substantial cost-savings, efficiency and productivity gains to Luup clients.
