The solution will allow clients to store and settle their digital assets within a secure environment operated by State Street, according to a release. The launch is subject to regulatory and other approvals, the $303 billion State Street Bank, with $3.9 trillion assets under management, said in its announcement.

Copper.co provides a gateway into the crypto asset space for institutional investors by offering custody, trading and settlement solutions across 450 crypto-assets and more than 40 exchanges.

State Street is building the financial infrastructure to support institutional investors who want to move forward with digital assets, said Nadine Chakar, head of State Street Digital.

“As institutional investors’ interest in digital assets continues to grow, we are building the financial infrastructure needed to support our clients’ allocations to this new asset class,” Chakar said in the announcement. “State Street Digital’s mission continues to focus on putting the right tools in place so we can provide clients with solutions to support their traditional, as well as digital assets needs.”

BMO uses fraud analytics platform Pindrop to improve security

The Bank of Montreal is using data from fraud analytics platform Pindrop to improve its fraud monitoring, said Victor Tung, U.S. chief technology and operations officer and chief information and operations officer for BMO Capital Markets.

The $805.9 billion BMO builds custom solutions for many platform services, but when it came to fraud, the bank wanted to purchase a tool that was “more industrial strength,” Tung said during last week’s Bank Automation Summit. Tung spoke as part of a panel on automation ideas last week at the Summit.

$2.5B North Shore Bank selects Reflexis for Banking for digitalization

The $2.5 billion North Shore Bank announced Tuesday that it will use Zebra Technologies’ Reflexis for Banking solution to digitalize and streamline its branch tasks. The Brookfield, Wis.-based mutual savings bank chose the solution for its mobile-first intelligent workforce platform that digitizes the branch inspection process. Zebra Technologies allows managers and staff to conduct on-site inspections and provides audit trails and real-time alerts for corrective actions, according to a release. This provides staff with more time for customer-facing work, said Susan Doyle, senior vice president of retail banking at the bank.

“Real-time visibility into branch operations gives us the confidence that tasks are completed uniformly and on time, while alerting us when supportive actions need to be taken to get the right resources in the right place,” Doyle said in the release.
