Citizens National among 7 community banks shifting to Jack Henry platform

Jack Henry set to acquire Payrailz on Aug. 31

The $613 million Citizens National Bank, a community bank in Somerset, Ky., was among seven banks to implement Jack Henry’s Banno digital banking platform in June, according to an FI Navigator report provided to Bank Automation News. The other six financial institutions include:

  • $300 million Town and Country Bank, based in Las Vegas;
  • $225 million Financial Plus Credit Union, based in West Des Moines, Iowa;
  • $147 million 1st Community Credit Union, based in Sparta, Wisc.;
  • $116 million Fieldpoint Private Bank, based in Greenwich, Conn.;
  • $114 million First Eagle Federal Credit Union, based in Owings Mills, Md.; and
  • $84 million First Colorado Bank, based in Paonia, Colo.

California, New York and Texas credit unions select Computer Marketing Corp. for mobile banking in June:

  • $96 million North Bay Credit Union, based in Santa Rosa, Calif.;
  • $41 million Niagara Regional Federal Credit Union, based in North Tonawanda, N.Y.;
  • $27 million Brazos Community Credit Union, based in Liverpool, Texas; and
  • $20 million Local 804 Federal Credit Union, based in Long Island City, N.Y.

Valor Bank among those who selected CSI Mobile Banking as their mobile banking platform in June:

  • $201 million Valor Bank, based in Edmund, Okla.;
  • $180 million Community Spirit Bank, based in Red Bay, Ala.; and
  • $151 million Farmers State Bank, based in Mcpherson, Kan.

Jack Henry to acquire digital payments company Payrailz

Technology provider Jack Henry announced its plan to acquire digital payments company Payrailz in an effort to enhance its payment capabilities.

The acquisition of Glastonbury, Conn.-based Payrailz brings cloud-native, API-first, artificial intelligence-enabled consumer and commercial digital payment solutions to Jack Henry’s platform, according to a release.

“Our company is engaged in technology modernization that is supporting banks and credit unions with innovative solutions that enable them to respond to business opportunities and challenges, and to improve the financial health of their accountholders,” Jack Henry Chief Operating Officer Greg Adelson said in the release.

The acquisition is set to close Aug. 31, according to the release. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

KeyBank chooses BlueSnap as US gateway provider

KeyBank announced Tuesday it has selected global payment platform BlueSnap as its U.S. gateway provider.

“BlueSnap’s flexible operating model for their payment orchestration platform gives our larger middle market and institutional clients the flexibility to process additional payments globally and seamlessly,” Scott McLaughlin, vice president of embedded banking at Cleveland-based KeyBank, said in a release.

The partnership allows KeyBank business clients more payment types and capabilities, including e-wallets, automated accounts receivables, fraud protection and chargeback management, and regulatory compliance, according to the release.

“We can now connect with and enable payments for millions of merchants and ISVs in the U.S. and internationally,” BlueSnap Chief Executive Ralph Dangelmaier said.

Visa partners with payments platform Astra

Payments platform Astra announced Tuesday a partnership with Visa that will allow faster funding to new accounts and the ability to transfer funds across accounts in real time through Visa Direct.

The instant funding allows customers to reload funds to a card instantly and set thresholds for automatic fund reloading, Astra Chief Executive Gil Akos told BAN.

“Every consumer out there has essentially been exposed to the instant settlement mechanism, and therefore every fintech that was already having challenges with settlement speed before this now has a higher bar that for serving those customers and getting funds to be in that account as soon as possible,” Akos said.

Built Technologies buys deal management platform Nativ

Cloud-based loan software provider Built Technologies this week announced it has acquired deal management platform Nativ. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Built was looking for a product that had Nativ’s capabilities, which includes its ability to assist with underwriting the future cash flow of an asset and the expenses, according to a Built release.

The acquisition increases Built’s headcount to more than 430 employees and expands the company’s presence in New York City, according to the release.

Additionally, Nativ brings more than $35 billion in commercial real estate assets to the Built portfolio, a Built spokesperson told BAN.
