CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This week, the Bank Automation Summit goes live for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. What can attendees expect? The following are three key themes that will form the backdrop of nearly all the sessions planned for the event, which starts Tuesday, March 1, at 1 p.m. ET.

1. Moving toward hyperautomation

While many banks have moved to adopt some level of automation, there’s still much to be accomplished. “Hyperautomation” is a term coined by tech research and consulting firm Gartner that refers to a “business-driven, disciplined approach that organizations use to rapidly identify, vet and automate as many business and IT processes as possible,” and it encompasses a range of automation technologies.

Each Summit session will explore how financial services firms are moving toward hyperautomation with existing and emerging technologies. Beginners and veterans in the financial services automation space will share their experience with these technologies — including a look at the limitations, lessons learned and best practices.

2. Exploring the business value of automation

Summit sessions will home in on real-world use cases and explore the business values of new technology opportunities. Participants will hear from experts in the bank automation space about how they prioritize automation according to its business value.

The Summit will explore the value and return on iteration, realistic and worthwhile use cases, and how financial institutions can prioritize automation endeavors and experiments.

3. Creating better, more efficient banking

The Summit’s overarching goal is to improve banking efficiencies. To that end, the sessions will explore how to optimize business processes while automating, and the best use cases for automation in lending, payments and banking processes. Sessions will dive deep into how technologies such as robotic process automation, intelligent document process automation and blockchain can create efficiencies in costs and workflow as well as in customer experience.

It’s not too late to participate in the Bank Automation Summit. Participants may access all content and networking opportunities through the event app. Sessions will be available on-demand in the event app within 12 hours of the live session ending. All registered attendees will have access to the event platform for up to 30 days following the conclusion of the Summit.

Bank Automation Summit, taking place March 1-2 in Charlotte, N.C., is the first and only event to focus solely on automation in banking. The event will feature the brightest minds from across financial services on intelligent automation strategies and deployment. Learn more and register here for Bank Automation Summit 2022.
