Commercial lending service provider Vine says its AI-driven lending process has helped bankers increase documentation speed by up to five times.

The Austin, Texas-based fintech is “using underlying machine learning for scanning and inputting information into loan forms as LLMs are not terribly good at reading numbers consistently,” Vine Chief Executive David Eads told FinAi News.

Commercial lending processes that formerly  took up to a week can now be done in about 90 mins with Vine, he said. Documentation and risk analysis have been streamlined with machine learning, he added.

Vine customers include:

  • $556 million Crest Savings Bank;
  • $227 million HSLC;
  • $224 million Triad Bank; and
  • $214 million Ipava State Bank.

Manual processes streamlined

Vine’s AI also flags in real time loan application data that doesn’t meet a lender’s criteria, including FICO scores, Eads said.

The company  also provides a gen AI-driven solution for credit memo generation for bankers and underwriters, Eads said. The task can be tedious, but is done quickly through gen AI, he said.

In 2026, Vine plans to add additional gen AI tools to its portfolio to help bankers:

  • Track customer applications and data;
  • Check for double-pledging of assets; and
  • Improve customer outreach.

About Vine

Depending on the size and needs of a bank, Vine’s services can cost $25,000 to more than $100,000 a year, Eads said. Online lending service provider Amount and Validis are its competitors.

Vine uses Amazon Web Services’ Bedrock solution for gen AI needs but is building its platform to be AI agnostic, he said.

“In 2025, we doubled our revenue and tripled our client base,” Eads said, adding that community and regional banks make up the lion’s share of Vine’s clients. No specific numbers were given.
