ACI Worldwide is exploring the use of its cloud platform to onboard bank clients to The Clearing House’s Real-Time Payments network.
The payments service provider already onboards bank clients to the Federal Reserve’s FedNow payments network through its real-time payments cloud, so moving The Clearing House’s (TCH) deployment to the cloud will offer “similar benefits,” Debbie Guerra, chief product officer and executive vice president of ACI Worldwide, told Bank Automation News.
“We’re in the process of moving our TCH deployment over to the real-time payments cloud,” she said.
The cloud-native architecture provides faster onboarding for banks, she said.
The RTP network had 568 financial institutions on its platform as of March 21, Rusiru Gunasena, senior vice president of RTP product management and strategy, previously told BAN.
Banks live on The Clearing House’s RTP network include Huntington National Bank and Wells Fargo, according to the company website.
ACI Worldwide’s cloud service providers are Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, Guerra said.
