CHARLOTTE — Truist launched its commercial digital experience in the cloud and is currently working toward a mobile offering.
The $548 billion bank has taken its virtual loan capabilities and built them within a cloud environment, said Bryce Elliott, chief information officer for wholesale and enterprise payments technology at the Charlotte-based bank Thursday at Bank Automation Summit U.S. 2023 in Charlotte, N.C.

“You think about a commercial client and now apply, upload [documents], e-sign, all from a digital capability that that we built,” he said, adding that working with a commercial client is more complex than a standard retail client.
Within the commercial experience, commercial clients also can apply for loans virtually in the cloud-native environment and can check on loan status as needed within the digital loan product, Elliott said.
Truist is also in the process of offering the new commercial digital experience within its mobile banking properties, with Elliott adding that “mobile is coming, but we’re not quite there yet.”
