Binance.US, the U.S. arm of crypto giant Binance, plans to scale business activities and launch new products on the back of a $200 million seed funding round, the company announced Wednesday.

The funding round is a signal of confidence in Binance.US, which has dealt with intense market volatility and changes in executive leadership over the past year. The funding reflects the strength of its business outlook, Brian Shroder, president and CEO at Binance.US, said in a release.
“This funding and valuation validate the strength of Binance.US’s business today, as well as our long-term growth prospects, and will enable us to continue to make our spot-trading platform the best it can be while rolling out an ambitious product roadmap,” Shroder said.
Binance.US supports more than 85 cryptocurrencies and 190 trading pairs and maintains operations in more than 50 states and territories. Along with developing new products and services, the company will use the funding to create educational opportunities and bridge crypto “knowledge gaps.”
“Together with our investors, customers, regulators, and employees, we look forward to building the most customer-centric and compliant digital asset platform in the country,” Shroder said.
The round was led by RRE Ventures, Foundation Capital, Original Capital, VanEck and Circle Ventures, with support from Gold House and Gaingels.
