JPMorgan Chase is on a roll with its digital hiring and currently has more than 2,000 open positions.
The bank is looking for a senior digital fintech expert to join its Digital Strategy, Innovation and Partnerships team, as it continues to recruit talent as part of its effort to revamp its technology team.
Last week, Adam K, Carson, head of Digital Partnerships at Chase (and a speaker at a past Bank Innovation conference) posted on LinkedIn.
I am looking for a seasoned FinTech / digital financial services expert to join the Digital Strategy, Innovation and Partnerships team at JPMorgan Chase. Our team is focused on advising the Chase lines of business (card, consumer, business, merchant, auto, mortgage, wealth management) and functions (digital, marketing, risk, operations, technology) on their digital transformation and FinTech partnership strategy. We also help to evaluate all new FinTech / emerging tech partnerships for Chase and manage our existing strategic partnerships.
Carson declined to provide further detail but told Bank Innovation that the role is not a newly created one, but became available after the person left.
A recent CB Insights report showed that the bank already has 2,314 open technology jobs, 148 product manager roles, and 63 digital jobs. Currently, the bank already has 50,000 people working in technology at JPM, including more than 31,000 in development and engineering jobs and 2,500+ in digital roles, the report stated.
According to a Reuters report in August, the bank is revamping its entry-level program for technologists with a two-year curriculum to focus on technical skills in which these new hires will be trained, assessed by various managers and executives at the bank. That same Reuters report cited that the bank hires 1,000 engineers each year globally.
Bank Innovation has reached out to JPMorgan Chase for further details.
