EXCLUSIVE- Michael Orlando, founder of FitPay, a provider of payment technology for wearables, has joined the speaker faculty for Bank Innovation 2018, which takes place March 5-6 in San Francisco.

Orlando founded FitPay in 2014. The company went on to be acquired by security technology company Next-ID Inc., and provides the payment technology behind wearables like the Garmin watches (more on this here). Orlando now serves at the COO and President of FitPay.

Prior to FitPay, he served as Chief Sales & Revenue Office at Jumio Inc, a payments and ID software-as-a-service company that seeks to reduce mobile payment friction and ID fraud: before that, he was Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Services at payment system management company, CyberSource.

He will be joined on the Ideas for Next-Generation Mobile Payments panel by Pablo Cohan, Senior Vice President, North America Digital Payments, Mastercard and Mike Panzarella, Chief Design Officer, Green Dot Corp.

The invitation-only event will also feature speakers from Fiserv, Wells Fargo, Visa, Royal Bank of Canada, and U.S. Bank.

Attendees to the event will enjoy startup demos, in addition to panels and presentations, and have the chance to seek advice and insights from fintech experts at the Innovation Bar.
