Simple, which announced plans to offer Photo Check Deposit (also known as remote deposit capture or RDC) a few weeks back, made it official this week: the feature is live and ready to go.

RDC is one of mobile banking’s must-haves these days. Just look at customer comments of banks (and bank replacements like Simple) that don’t offer RDC in the iTunes App Store or on Google Play and it’s clear: customers want this feature.

Now Simple’s customers have it. As mobile engineer Collin Ruffenach writes in Simple’s product announcement, “We know many of you have been waiting for this feature, and so have we. This is a major step toward our goal of fully replacing your bank.”
