Core provider FIS selected President Stephanie Ferris as its chief executive, effective Jan. 1, 2023. In addition to her new title, Ferris was also appointed to the FIS Board of Directors.

Ferris, who has been with the company since 2019, led the integration of Worldpay into FIS and was instrumental in the company’s global growth, according to an FIS release.
She follows in the footsteps of Chief Executive Gary Norcross, who held the title for eight years. Under his leadership, FIS grew to a $14 billion global business from a $6 billion company.
“Over the years, we’ve grown into the largest financia l technology provider in the world by successfully helping our clients anticipate, navigate and harness wave after wave of technological change to take advantage of growth opportunities in their markets, advancing the way the world pays, banks and invests,” Norcross said, noting, “I couldn’t be more pleased with Stephanie moving into this position.”
Looking ahead, Ferris plans to continue to focus on scale, noting, “We are uniquely positioned to chart the course for fintech innovation.”
Octaura selects Cohen as COO, CFO

Octaura named Jason Cohen as both chief operating and chief financial officer effective Nov. 1.
Cohen was selected by the independent electronic trading, data and analytics solutions company launched by Bank of America and Citi in June to lead Octaura’s financial and operations strategies.
Cohen joins Octaura from CME Group where he served as the managing director of product management and markets operations, according to an Octaura release.
“[Jason] brings a compelling blend of strategic vision, capital allocation discipline, and transformation leadership abilities to the role,” Chief Executive Brian Bejile said in the release.
Genesis Global names CTO
Fintech Genesis Global named Tej Sidhu its chief technology officer Monday.

Sidhu, who will direct Genesis’ technology and engineering strategy, joins the fintech from trading, risk management and post-trade processing solution company Calypso, where he served as head of research and development, according to a Genesis Global release.
As CTO, Sidhu will lead 200 developers and technologists as he aims to accelerate innovation at the low-code platform provider.
“The Genesis platform accelerates the innovative potential of developers, making Genesis a unique partner for banks, asset managers and others in the industry that want to realize the customization, control and other benefits of in-house builds with new levels of efficiency and speed,” Sidhu said in the release.
Atom Bank appoints new CFO

U.K.-based digital bank Atom Bank selected Andrew Marshall to serve as its chief financial officer.
Marshall has worked for the bank for six years and previously held the titles of group financial controller, deputy chief financial officer and director of corporate finance, according to an Atom release.
As CFO, Marshall will be focused on long-term profitable growth, he said in the release, noting, “In such a volatile period, our mission is to make the experience of borrowing and saving simpler, faster and better value is more important than ever.”
