Yes, Citibank, Fidelity, Desjardins, Scotiabank’s Tangerine unit, and even Mint have launched Apple Watch apps. But Misys is the only third-party technology vendor to put out a Watch app so far.

The app, which was reported by Finextra a couple weeks ago, has largely remained unseen. Until now. The tech vendor leaked a video of it a few days ago to little attention. It appears below.

Officially called the Misys FusionBanking Essence BankTime app is a “prototype” for Apple Watch. The app is part of Misys’s “Essence Digital” portfolio, which includes modules for online and mobile banking, personal financial management, gamification, and digital sales.  Presumably, the Apple Watch app can be modified and customized.

Apple Watch is set to officially launch on April 24. Pre-orders are said to begin April 10, with Apple Watch price ranging from $349 for the entry-level Sport model to $17,000 for the top-tier 18-karat gold edition.
