AI played a key role in fintech Solifi’s acquisition of Inovatec Systems as the company expands its auto finance solutions.

Cloud-based lending fintech Inovatec’s AI-native platform will accelerate the growth of Solifi’s auto lending business, which has been a primary objective for the company, Chief Executive Dan Corazzi told FinAi News.

Solifi CEO Dan Corazzi

Solifi, a SaaS provider for the secured finance industry, completed its acquisition of Inovatec for an undisclosed amount on Sept. 1, enhancing its capabilities across the auto, powersports and specialty finance segments, according to a Solifi release.

Inovatec delivers AI solutions for processes including origination automation, fraud detection and credit decisioning, he said. The credit decisioning tool is especially valuable for auto lenders “because it’s not easy to solve for that,” Corazzi added.

“A lot of AI use cases out there are around just automation and process improvement. Credit decisioning gets at the heart of what the customer is doing, and that can really impact their business.”

The tool provides a comprehensive risk assessment by analyzing the loan applicant’s credit history and other relevant documents, Corazzi said.

Inovatec’s platform also comprises tools for loan servicing, floorplan, collections, inventory management and risk monitoring.

For Inovatec, the acquisition similarly aligns with its growth goals while addressing customer demands for more products, digital channels and automation capabilities, co-founders Vladimir Kovacevic and Danijela Kovacevic stated in the release.

Solifi expects integration of Inovatec to be mostly complete within 120 to 180 days, ramping up new product development along the way, Corazzi said.

M&A drives AI advancement

Acquisitions are helping Solifi execute its long-term AI strategy, with a focus on cloud-based platforms that allow for smooth integration into its technology stack, Corazzi said, emphasizing the importance of connectivity across its platform.

This approach is evidenced by other recent acquisitions, he added.

In September 2025, Solifi acquired DataScan, which provides wholesale loan servicing, inventory auditing and risk management tools to banks and captive lenders.

Two months prior, it acquired LeasePath, a software provider for equipment loan and lease life cycle management.

“We’re taking three acquired companies, and we’re integrating and enveloping that entirely into everything that is core Solifi,” Corazzi said. “Our strategy now is to not necessarily have disparate ways to attack AI, but consistency and unification in use cases, inputs and in the way we’re developing in each of those products.”

The company has cultivated an AI strategy that isn’t unique to Inovatec, DataScan or Leasepath, “but one that is unique to Solifi as a whole,” he said.

FinAi Lending Summit, set for Oct. 7-8 in Las Vegas, will include speakers from Fifth Third and Capital One as well as a fireside chat with U.S. Bank Senior Vice President – Lending Operations Group Manager Suzanne Rathbun. To learn more about the 2026 event and register, visit here.
