Piermont Bank added to its C-suite in March as the cloud-native bank continues to scale.
The bank made the following appointments:
- Derrick Cornelious, chief credit officer;
- Dennis Day, chief payments officer; and
- Wenni Wu, chief growth officer’s role expanded to include all deposit-related businesses.
“The expansion of our leadership team reflects Piermont’s continued growth and our commitment to innovation across embedded banking, payments infrastructure, and next generation lending,” Chief Executive Wendy Cai-Lee said in a recent release.
Cornelious previously worked at First Republic Bank and BNY Mellon, according to the release. He will oversee the bank’s overall credit strategy and risk management framework, with a focus on innovating lending solutions.
Day joins Piermont from Community Federal Savings Bank, and Wu has been at Piermont since before the bank officially opened in 2019, according to the release.
“At a time when technology is rapidly reshaping financial services, Piermont’s approach is to combine cloud-native infrastructure, AI-driven insights, and thoughtful relationship banking,” Cai-Lee said in the release.
