The payments rails will be integrated using a single API, allowing mutual Mastercard Multi-Token Network (MTN) and JPMorgan Kinexys customers to settle business-to-business transactions, according to the release.

“By bringing together the power and connectivity of Mastercard’s MTN with Kinexys Digital Payments, we are unlocking greater speed and settlement capabilities for the entire value chain,” Raj Dhamodharan, executive vice president of blockchain and digital assets at Mastercard, said in the release.

Santander taps dentsu for new SME platform

Santander Corporate and Commercial Bank has selected integrated business transformation provider dentsu to grow its international trade platform for small- and medium-sized enterprises.

Built by dentsu, and powered by Salesforce, Adobe and Amazon, the platform will offer a digital-first customer experience with plans to expand the SME trade business globally over the next five years, according to a Nov. 25 dentsu release.

“In a changing macro environment, new business models which create new sources of revenue growth are fundamental to how clients such as Santander achieve sustainable long-term advantage,” Angela Tangas, chief executive for the U.K. and Ireland at dentsu, said in the release.

The platform is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2025, according to the release.

Saifr AI models available on Microsoft Azure AI

Regulation technology provider Saifr is offering four of its models in the Microsoft Azure AI catalog to open access to safer AI deployment within financial services, Saifr CEO Vall Herard told Bank Automation News.

Financial institutions will be able to tap AI while monitoring regulatory compliance of broker-dealer communications and investment adviser advertising, according to a Nov. 13 Microsoft blog.

For example, if a financial institution was trying to communicate with retail consumers using a large language model, Saifr’s model would suggest language that is compliant, Herard said.

Saifr’s models available in the catalog include:

  • Retail marketing compliance;
  • Image detection;
  • Risk interpretation; and
  • Language suggestion.

Financial institutions, software companies and those building applications within financial services can go to the Microsoft Azure AI model catalog and tap Saifr’s models to make sure what they are building has regulation and compliance layers already built in, Herard said.

These are just the first Saifr offerings to the Azure catalog, he said.

Truist extends partnership with Azimuth for compliance solutions

Truist is expanding its partnership with Azimuth for compliance solutions, Azimuth announced in a Nov. 12 release.

Azimuth, a compliance automation solutions company, will integrate its Validator software to deploy automated, compliance solutions into the $523 billion bank’s consumer business lines, according to the release.

The companies began working together in 2021 when Truist sought to simplify data analysis.

The software integration will offer Truist clients greater efficiency and more streamlined operations, Rohin Tagra, founder and CEO of Azimuth, told BAN.

“On top of that, [there is] mitigation on your risk, because you know what’s happening with your portfolio,” he said.

Integration of Azimuth’s Validator software will help Truist:

  • Automate  testing of regulatory requirements;
  • Provide real-time dashboards; and
  • Offer advanced analytics.
