J.P. Morgan Asset Management and cash management fintech Trovata are collaborating to offer access to higher yields on corporate investments amid rising interest rates and economic uncertainty through its Morgan Money platform, a multicurrency, trading and risk management system that launched in 2019.
The collaboration will combine J.P. Morgan’s investment capabilities with Trovata’s ability to determine liquidity needs and identification of excess cash, Brett Turner, founder and chief executive of the fintech, told Bank Automation News.

“Trovata automates many of the manual processes that have historically been required to determine liquidity needs and identify idle cash,” Turner said. “The platform automatically collects and normalizes transaction data via API connections to clients’ banks, and then overlays AI and machine learning for transaction tagging, cash reporting and forecasting.”
Through the partnership, the San Diego, Calif.-based Trovata will host Morgan Money on its platform as its first third-party app, according to a Trovata release.
“Now more than ever, corporate treasury investors need a fully integrated trading solution for their liquidity needs,” Paul Przybylski, head of product and strategy for global liquidity at J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Morgan Money, said in the release.
Morgan Money clients will have the ability to leverage Trovata’s automated offerings, which saves the fintech’s clients more than 50 hours per month on manual processes including downloading bank statements and forecasting in spreadsheets, Turner told BAN.
J.P. Morgan, with $2.3 trillion under management, started its relationship with Trovata in 2019, when it invested in the fintech’s seed funding round, according to Crunchbase. Trovata was founded in 2016 and has raised $57.6 million in seven funding rounds.
