Payment card issuer Corserv announced that it has been certified as Visa Ready, a seal of approval from the credit card giant for its payment-cards-as-a-service-APIs (PCaaSA) platform.
Payment cards are prepaid debit and credit cards, and the PCaaSA is a flexible, multi-bank platform that stretches across such cards for all products. Corserv’s platform runs on custom APIs, and the company has the ability introduce new or altered APIs into the system as needed, President Anil Goyal told Bank Automation News.
Atlanta-based Corserv launched its debit and prepaid card functionalities in 2021 and is currently working to open its commercial credit card for use later this year, Goyal said. The card issuer’s new certification should give clients a sense of security, he added.

“We are able to work with Visa, in terms of the queries that might come to the Visa team, to help us understand if we can work with those prospects,” Goyal said. “We will, potentially, have a more active stream of referrals.”
Corserv’s developers are looking to integrate its own issuing processing platform with Visa’s front-end servicing platform to create “a full revolving credit card platform” within the next year, he said.
The certification process took several months, Goyal said. While he would not name the company’s current clients, he told BAN that the platform provides its customers both flexibility and expertise from a banking perspective.
“We see [Corserv] as a fintech enabler, and we think there’s a lot of demand for more than advanced digital processing platforms that are API-driven, so we are bullish on this space,” Goyal said.
