Open finance API platform Belvo announced that it has received an investment from Citi Ventures to expand its footprint into Latin American countries. The amount of capital invested was not disclosed.
Sao Paulo, Brazil-based Belvo has raised a total of $56 million over six funding rounds. The fintech’s collaboration with Citi Ventures will help facilitate growth of the technology in Mexico, Belvo co-founder and co-Chief Executive Pablo Viguera told Bank Automation News.
“[We] are really looking at ways in which we can partner to really push the open finance ecosystem forward,” Viguera said. “Ever since we started the company, we’ve always been very keen to partner with incumbents because it’s very hard to just go at it alone.”
SteelEye gains $21M in series B
Financial services compliance solution SteelEye announced Thursday it has secured $21 million in series B funding, in what has been dubbed the largest regulatory tech (RegTech) raise by a European firm in 2022, according to a release. The round was led by Ten Coves Capital.

London-based SteelEye has raised a total of $43 million and plans to use the funding for global expansion, starting with North America, the company stated.
“Financial firms need ways to reduce costs through efficiencies and automation. This is what we deliver through our distinctive, data-centric compliance platform,” Matt Smith, chief executive at SteelEye, said in the release.
Automation platform Mesh raises $60M
Finance automation platform Mesh announced Wednesday that it has raised $60 million in a series C funding round.
The insight-driven automation platform assists finance teams with optimizing their corporate spending, ranging from travel expenses to software-as-a-service (SaaS) subscriptions. The Tel Aviv-based company says 1,000 mid-market companies use its tools to save their finance teams three days a month in time spent, according to a release.
“The confidence in Mesh from investors and customers, even in a turbulent market, reinforces that our finance automation platform is what companies want to help them navigate a cost-cutting environment,” CEO Oded Zehavi said in a statement.
