Eltropy acquires AI-driven platform Marsview

Digital communications company Eltropy has acquired artificial intelligence (AI)-driven platform Marsview in an effort to increase its digital communication efficiencies.

Marsview, which runs on APIs, allows Eltropy to improve the customer experience by leveraging the technology’s ability to detect sentiment or emotion through voice and video conversations, Marsview Chief Executive Murali Mahalingam told BAN.

“A lot of companies are taking their pick of what Google or Amazon has and are building on top of that,” Eltropy founder and Chief Executive Ashish Garg told BAN. “What’s unique about [Marsview] is that instead of using open-source technology, they build models from scratch. That was very compelling for us.”

Truist purchases Zaloni data governance platform

Truist has acquired data governance platform Zaloni’s Arena platform to assist in the bank’s data strategy and reduce IT costs.

“We will use [the platform] to help substantiate our expectations around data management, giving us a more automated way to consistently drive out the expectations for various personas who use our data,” Truist Chief Data Officer Tracy Daniels told BAN.

The platform’s code will be integrated onto Truist’s data management stack and can be built out with new capabilities depending on the bank’s needs, Daniels said.

Truist is not yet aware of the savings the platform will bring to the bank, but it does plan to launch the capabilities “quickly,” Daniels added.

First Tech FCU selects Zebra to optimize branch performance

The $15.8 billion First Tech Federal Credit Union is using Zebra Technologies’ Reflexis for Banking to streamline back-end processes and improve customer experience.

The AI and machine learning technology allows the bank to save time and follow up at the branch, field management and headquarter levels, Brian Wallace, general manager of banking at Zebra Technologies, told BAN. The technology can also be reconfigured and adjusted for optimal use in collaboration with the provider and the bank.

“Given the flexibility of configuring the Reflexis for Banking solutions to each bank’s unique operations, we can rapidly deploy and typically generate a solid ROI [return on investment] within the first year of use,” Wallace said.

Bank Automation Summit Fall 2022, taking place Sept. 19-20 in Seattle, is a crucial event on automation and automation technology in banking. Learn more and register for Bank Automation Summit Fall 2022.
