Grewal will be responsible for accelerating development and implementation of commercial and corporate banking digital offerings and market-competitive capabilities. She will lead the company’s strategy to improve digital experiences for commercial and corporate clients.

Grewal comes to Wells Fargo from JPMorgan Chase, where she was head of digital for the commercial bank. Previously she worked at Silicon Valley Bank as the global head of payments strategy and solutions. She was recognized in the Innovators to Watch list for 2015 by Bank Innovation, Bank Automation News’ precursor.

Arora named head of digital for Citi’s Institutional Clients Group

Sandeep Arora is the new head of digital and chief investment officer for the Citi Institutional Clients Group. As chief digital officer, Arora will oversee the execution of ICG’s efforts to further digitize the business. He will also lead an API-first strategy that will give clients direct access to the group’s capabilities, according to a press statement.

As chief investment officer, Arora will chair the investment committees and become a voting member of those committees for all ICG portfolios.

Arora previously served as managing director of ICG’s electronic platforms and markets for fintech investments, according to his LinkedIn profile. He has been with Citi for nearly 33 years.

Deutsche Bank CEO Christian Sewing’s contract was extended through 2026 and he will hand over management board-level responsibility for the corporate bank and the investment bank to Fabrizio Campelli, a member of the management board.

Rebecca Short will be transferred to the chief transformation office and join the management board. She will also assume responsibility for global procurement from the chief operating office and the capital release unit. Chief operating office duties will no longer be a separate management board function for the bank. Current COO Frank Kuhnke will leave the bank as part of the restructuring.
