Google Cloud and Automation Anywhere announced Monday that the two companies have joined forces for a strategic, multiyear collaboration to bring the automation platform to Google Cloud.
Valued at $6.8 billion, Automation Anywhere will move its cloud-native, web-based automation platform to Google Cloud, which will also serve as its primary cloud provider. Automation Anywhere will be Google Cloud’s preferred RPA partner and the two will work together on developing artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic process automation (RPA) solutions, according to a Google statement.
The two companies “will jointly develop solutions geared toward industry-specific use cases, with a focus on financial services, supply chains, healthcare and life sciences, telecommunications, retail, and the public sector,” the statement said.
Google will also integrate Automation Anywhere’s RPA capabilities with services such as Apigee, Appsheet and AI Platform, enabling customers to deploy the application of automation with API management, low- or no-code development, or the development of ML workflows. The integration will likely be made generally available beginning in May, Google said.
“As businesses increasingly run in the cloud, RPA provides the means to streamline processes across both cloud-native applications and legacy, on-premises systems, ultimately helping employees spend less time on repetitive tasks,” said Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian in a statement.
Automation Anywhere did not respond a request for comment by press time today.
