In a video posted today, Moven emphasizes the personal financial management (PFM) aspects of its mobile app, last updated June 20, 2013. Moven’s website says its doors are now open and allows users to request invites via Facebook or email. (“Enter your email to get in line.”)

Moven competitor GoBank opened its doors unexpectedly early this week — it originally announced July 4 as the day it would leave beta testing — and is no longer talking about invitations. Its website has a “Join Now” link that takes users directly to a membership form. Simple, the original in this new type of mobile-first direct bank account, is still playing games with invitations and its famous waiting list.

Moven has a leg up on GoBank and Simple in terms of mobile payments. It offers digital receipts with spending feedback and pay with a tap using MasterCard PayPass.
